Follow these steps;<\/p>

  1. Ensure all the instrument and vocal takes are completely edited and converted to Wav files. Note. if we have to edit your files an addition cost will incur.<\/li>
  2. Ensure all the files are cleanly recorded and are not clipping.<\/li>
  3. Ensure all files are consolidated so they start and end at the same time.<\/li>
  4. Ensure all the files are organized and correctly labeled.<\/li>
  5. Make sure your vocals are tuned and dry. No reverb or delays.<\/li>
  6. Include a reference demo mix of the song in Wav or Mp3 and a brief description text of session information such as BPM, song key, and any notes that are important to consider when completing the mix.<\/li><\/ol><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      Mastering is the term most commonly used to refer to the process of taking an audio mix and preparing it for distribution. There are several considerations in this process: unifying the sound of a record, maintaining consistency across multiple playback formats, and preparing for Broadcast or Online distribution.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      One goal of mastering is to correct mix balance issues and enhance particular sonic characteristics, taking a good mix (usually in the form of a stereo file) and putting the final touches on it. This can involve adjusting levels, adding broad equalization, applying compression, limiting and general \u201csweetening\u201d of the mix. Think of it as the difference between a good-sounding mix and a professional-sounding, finished master.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      Consideration also has to be made for how the individual tracks work together when played one after another in an album sequence. Is there a consistent sound? Are the levels matched? Does the collection have a common \u201ccharacter\u201d and play back evenly so that the listener doesn\u2019t have to adjust the volume?<\/p>

      This process is generally included in the previous step, with the additional evaluation of how individual tracks sound in sequence and in relation to each other. This doesn\u2019t mean that you simply make one preset and use it on all your tracks so that they have a consistent sound. Instead, the goal is to reconcile the differences between tracks while maintaining (or even enhancing) the character of each of them, which will most likely mean different settings for different tracks.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      The final step usually involves preparing the song or sequence of songs for download, manufacturing and\/or duplication\/replication. This step varies depending on the intended delivery format. In the case of a CD, it can mean converting to 16 bit\/44.1 kHz audio through resampling and\/or dithering, and setting track indexes, track gaps, PQ codes, and other CD-specific markings. For web-centered distribution, you might need to adjust the levels to prepare for conversion to AAC, MP3 or hi-resolution files and include the required metadata.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      1. Remove all processing from your master channel. Adding processors to the master channel can make it difficult for us to make a great master. EQ, compression and limiting can all affect the dynamics, which is taken care of by us at the mastering stage.<\/li>

      2. During the main section of your song, the peak level should be about -5db. THIS IS IMPORTANT. Giving us enough headroom to work with will give you a better master. We will use EQ and compression alongside other tools which boost the peak level of your song.<\/p>

        For example, if you send us a song that\u2019s peaking at 0db, our processing will cause the audio to peak above 0db and distort. If you\u2019re unsure of your levels, use a peak meter to measure the output on your master channel. Please note: the master fader must remain at 0db at all times, with the audio peaking through it at -5db.<\/p><\/li>

      3. Please submit your files as 44100hz, 24bit or 16bit WAV files. For best quality Master MP3 or other compressed formats are not recommended.<\/li>
      4. Do not record your pre-master with dithering or other plug-ins designed to \u201cenhance\u201d the sound. Please also make sure that \u2018normalisation\u2019 is off when exporting.<\/li><\/ol><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
